On 12 and 13 December 2024, the EU-Mexico High-Level Dialogue and Seminar on Human Rights took place in Brussels. As part of this line of work and coordination for advocacy with strategic allies, such as the Espacio OSC, the Secretariat of the EU-LAT Network and its members participated both in the EU-Mexico High-Level Dialogue and in the preceding Seminar. The promotion of formal and informal spaces for exchange, first with Mexican organisations and subsequently with EEAS officials, enabled a high degree of coordination.
Moreover, the Secretariat of the EU-LAT Network, together with the OMCT, represented European civil society as a whole in the Dialogue sessions where debates were held with the Mexican ambassador, the EU Special Representative for Human Rights, and senior EEAS officials, ensuring that the Network’s messages were conveyed at the highest level.
