On the 5th of November 2013, the Civil Society Networks Grupo Sur and Oidhaco organized the event “Women, fundamental players in peacebuilding” on the European Parliament in order to:
• Ask the EU to play a more active role in the peace talks and eventual post conflicto phase in Colombia
• Request that the EU supports Colombian women and publicly ask that their requests are heard and taken into account in the signing of the peace accords in Havana
• Remind the EU that UN resolutions 1325 and 2122 support the participation of women in peace processes and reconstruction, essential for lasting peace
