Ahead of the next EU-Mexico Human Rights Dialogue, which takes place in Brussels on the 18th of March, CIFCA together with PBI Mexico, Front Line Defenders and Protection International, denounces that HRDs in Mexico continue to suffer attacks, threats, harassment and murders, according to a 2013 report of the OHCHR-Mex.
Despite the efforts of the authorities to put in place the National Protection Mechanism for Human Rights Defenders and Journalists, CSOs have identified deficiencies regarding the correct implementation of security measures, alerting and requesting for several changes.
